I'ven't (yes, I know) been to the nets for a while and in my absence HOLiC chapter 189 was translated. Whoo! and the chinese raw for 190. this rant goes on... ( here! ) Ummm. Blue hair, dude. Or perhaps blue hair-dude? No way, that sounds like the dude is hairy and blue. Oh and yesterday was John Cleese's birthday. He's old. I can't be bothered to look up some good picture so I'll just celebrate with the icon. . . . . I started writing this at around 3 o'clock.

Life is relatively good again. I'm eating some amazing chicken-garlic-potato takeaway, listening to Queen, I've been reading some good stuff, writing some good stuff and other. There was also this: Roger Waters gets older today! (I know, I know...) The gong. It is epic for us PF fans. Guess what I'd like to own? A gasmask. Also, that specific kind of leather jacket. Dare you laugh at my Paint skillz?

Look look look at the pretty picture I found: Happy Birthday Freddie! Doing stuff with people:T was here overnight, left not half an hour ago. We watched some *ahemahem* Tarantino films, namely Kill Bill I and Pulp Fiction. We were invited over to my cousins to watch Watchmen too, which we did. Shopping:I have this terrible need to go shopping. It started when I was lying on the sofa in the morning. It's unexplainable - I don't even have anything particular in mind, well, except for that one poster, but yeah. I'm still making up my mind whether or not I'll be going, however, cause I have loads to do here too. I need to read. Literature:As you can tell by the sidebar box, my list of books being read does not decrease in size, in fact the quite opposite. I bought that Counter Clock World -book the day before yesterday and I need to read it as well. But it's not something I need to hurry with. It's in Finnish and all, imagine that! School:On Friday we had Art and Maths. And the yearly photoshoot-session-thingy. I have no idea how I looked, but at least I had nice clothes. In Art I began painting my acrylic painting, a big clock, or more like a wheel-kind-of Map of Time. It's going to be really cool and detailed, and everyone totally underestimated my ability to paint details, they were all aking 'How are you going to paint all the details?' and I say 'Just like I paint it all, with some paint and a brush.' Movies:I cannot stop watching listen to Johnny Depp and good lord Elfman's music is epic aaaaargh.

MJ! Happy birth-and-burial day! Movies:So yesterday I went to see Public Enemies with T. It was okay - there was a lot of gunfire, and it was loud too. It was also maybe a bit too long for my tastes. . . . I want to see Inglorious Basterds. Now. TV:Season four of Torchwood is going to happen. First of all: WHY? Torchwood died. It really died. Unlike Jack, who keeps on living. Torchwood was killed in Children of Earth. Secondly - I would not watch Gwenwood, or Gwen, the Alien Slayer. I would not watch it. The article had a picture of John Barrowman in it - why bother, it's all about lil mommy Gwen and her family businesses. I would make someone who does watch it post all clips with Barrowman on Youtube and admire his magnificence there, but I would not watch it - Hell, I didn't even watch Random Shoes as it was too Gwen-centric! Thing is - if they brought Ianto back I would continue being Torchwood fangirl #526. As if that was going to happen. But imagine the amount of YAY if it did (I might die of happiness). I'm actually in a bit of denial about Children of Earth. It never happened.( on to personal angst )

25th of August: Happy birthday Tim Burton! Literature:Did I write about The Odyssey for children being far to childish already? I don't think I did. So the thing is this: We got copies of The Odyssey from school, and to make our reading experience easier they have children's versions of the book there. I started reading it, got as far as the Trojans and the wooden horse, and decided that I need to read a 'proper' version. I'll be reading the children's one as well, for comparing purposes, though. The Torchwood books. Folks. For real. I'm reading Into the Silence, and while it's not that good a book with what it comes to plot, originality and such, I can't help but love it. I am also very excited about the other two books I have here, because they're supposedly better than Into the Silence. *silent fangirl shout of yay* Pardon me.
|
I had written this yesterday, but then somehow missed posting it. So: How come everyone's born in autumn? Today's Robert Plant's birthday. (Burton on 25th and Jackson on 29th.)

So. 19 of August, the birthday of: John Deacon, Queen bass player and kickass songwriter. ( also... )Happy birthday! Personal life: School:In Finnish we're going to read Homer's Odyssey. It's a 'children's' version, with things in chronological order, and written in clear, modern Finnish. But YAY anyway, cause this is like AN EPIC THING. MAJORLY EPIC. And I'm glad that we have to read it for school, as it's unlikely that I would've gotten to reading it till much later in life if it weren't so. Also, I know that many of my classmates won't be bothered to read it (I'm sure that some of them have not read any of the books we've been assigned to read during the past two years) and I will laugh at them, 'cause they have no idea of WHAT THEY MISS. I mean, it's the Odyssey! I'm so glad we got this book, as class 9D (opposed to our 9C) has to read something Finnish (and, yeah, okay, it's a classic, but anyway) and I'd never been this enthusiastic to read that stuff. Doing stuff with people:T. told me she's going to the Malmi flea market when it opens, to sell stuff. And we thought we could both go there, I have a need to clear my closets as well, and we can share the table and split the cost of it as well. So, I'll see about that. Also, there are plans for a movie-and-chinese-food outing for some time in the future. ( a block )

TV:Birthdays: So. If I'm right today yesterday is David Duchovny's birthday. I image-googled his name and this is what I found: Why have I not watched Twin Peaks yet, why? Writing:Okay. I've been writing. Which is very good. I'm gonna post the stories I've written and will write, but they'll all be back-dated and only found in a Fiction masterlist in the sidebar. I know it's very, very highly unlikely that anyone will ever read them (I mean, I'm actually, like, hiding them from everyone myself), for they're all this-and-this-many words drabbles, but I don't care. I'm also thinking that if I actually start to write on a (more or less) regular basis it'll be good for me. Not only my English language skillz, but that writing short stuff might actually get me inspired to write longer things as well. I write original fiction. I don't know why I never got to writing fanfiction. I suppose I need to be able to know exactly what's going on, at all times, in the heads of my characters. Anyway, writing something with an actual plot is an impossible thing for me to do. I also find, that my pieces turn out to be angsty more often than not, even though I'm not writing them so deliberately. ... Personal life:One week and school begins. Did I announce the BEGIN THE PANIC already? Oh, good. + my saveiantojones-icon of DOOM.

Life: Music: Roger Taylor. Is a god like everyone else. First of all, I ask you (really, do do it) to listen to some of his songs. A Queen song sung by him, perhaps. Here be 'I'm In Love With My Car', And here be a picture of him in the early-to-mid-seventies (the song up there was released in '75, on A Night at the Opera). And here, just 'cause it happened be there on his last.fm gallery page, is yet another proof of why I should not be ashamed to death because I have the same kind of sunglasses as everyone else: That's the exact kind I (and everyone else) have! Fookin' yeah! And yeah, the reason for me to post stuff concerning him is that it's his birthday. On to more boring stuff. ( Personal life )
|
Happy Birthday Brian May! You will always be my favourite guitarist (and the cutest one too)! I have to talk to you about sunglasses. ( IMPORTANT STUFF )
