I haven't got a single thing to say except that I made this new icon (took, like, two minutes) a couple of days ago. I didn't want to make a separate post just for 'new icon yay' so I thought I'd wait till I have something to say. Which I, sadly, don't.
So this is a yay new icon post after all.

Guess what month it is? That's right, the The-New-Doctor-Who-Episode-Comes-Out-In-This-Month -month, November. Scheduled for the fifteenth, which is in, like, a week. GYAH. You can expect me to talk about nothing but it after I've seen it.

I stayed home today as I had a sore throat and a bit of fever, like, you know, real, proper fever in the morning.

I read all the xxxHolic that have appeared in my, well, time not reading it, and some updates to fics, and I watched Cats and the Phantom of the Opera, and stuff.

Also, the recent events in xxxHolic (not spoiling anyone, but I will say I was saddened. I'm going to go and see if there's an explanation for it over in Tsubasa) made me make a new icon. It's not the greatest piece of art, but it's okay for now.

All I'm worried about is that if I can't go to school tomorrow we mightn't be able to go out with the girls either.





. . . . I have written a lot today. Seriously, I mean, like, probably over seven hundred words. I'm kinda proud.

Television, as always:

Yeah. So. Today is Sunday, once again. I guess you already know what that means. Torchwood-day. Yay. Today they're airing an episode I haven't seen yet, too. ('Cause, you know, when I watched Torchwood, like, one-two-three before leaving to Portugal, I chose only the episodes that Ithought might be interesting. My method: Go to the Wikipedia page of the episode and ctrl+f 'ianto'. If there were several results within the 'Plot summary' or whatever, I'd watchthe episode. No, really. So, this episode I'm watching today, Random Shoes, was it, I read revolves pretty much around Gwen, whom I don't particularly like [it's not that I dislike her, no, but I just don't like her either] so I didn't watch it then.)
And you know what. I'm going to pay attention to the subtitles today. I usually tend to read the subs really quickly and then just listen to what the people say, but now I'm gonna read 'em too. And I'm interested in knowing who it is that translates the programme.

Really, for the past three-or-what weeks my life has been pretty much revolving around said TV show. And I might - just might - be getting over the death of Ianto. I mean, in the end The Children of Earth was really good, and okay, yeah, there were some serious plotholes and because of this (and the things he said concerning 'nine hysterical women') my admiration for Russell T. Davies went whoooosh downwards, but yeah, basically, it had its moments, and I can pretend that nothing happened. That's what we have fanfiction for. And the three first episodes were totally, if I might add a internet expression here, FTW.

I mean, I never thought a TV show would make me hate beans so much. Bloody beans.

Okay, so. Today I made my first real post to an LJ community (http://community.livejournal.com/savecoffeeboy/). The responses to it, though small in numbers, were heartwarmingly lovely. Makes up for the fact that the people in irc-galleria.net's Torchwood community weren't too entusiastic about the whole saveiantojones -thingy.


Oy AND! I mae an awesome The Wall icon, yes/yes/yes? At first I thought I'd get that thing that's in the Goodbye Blue Sky sequence, but then as I found this particulat pic, I thought 'What the heck, this is so cool I have to have this.'
I've also been looking for some Doctor Who/Torchwood related icons. I've come across some very good text-only ones, but I'll have too see about it - you know, that I upload one I know I'll actually use.

Stole a little something from narttukoira .

1. Go to your desktop and press the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key).
2. Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and doing a Paste (CTRL + V).
3. Post the picture on your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop if you want. You can explain why you prefer such a look or why it is full of icons. Things like that.

Ummh. i've stolen these pictures from around the internet, a lot of them are from the rock_macros community. I thought one day 'Oh my desktop looks so dull.' And then I made this.
It's extending and changing all the time, I just added some pics and took one boring away. 
I haven't got sa many icons on it. Only the most needed ones. like My Computer, Photoshop and my music Folder. There's simply no space for the rest of them. I used to have loads omore of them, in the ancient times of simple backgrounds.

And My awesome new Spinal Tap icon. Won't be very long-lasting, but I just wanted to have it. I watched the movie last night.

So I've got a bunch of new icons.


Ah I'm so sorry my darlings, but I've got that sort of funny feeling, and anyway with all the people coming here today I suppose I won't be able to be on the computer as much.
Darn.
But whatever.
NO! I'm almost at the end of the book (well yes, I consider the first pages of the Return of the King 'almost the end') and then I'll have nothing to read for days and days and days.

Do forgive me, but I hope with all my might that it would soon start raining andthundering even, pleasepleaseplease do! And guh.

No, i actually do have lots of things to read, for one, I sleep in the library building, basically surrounded with books, seconly, I've got two other books with me - It's just that I won't have any time to read as I suppose I'll have to super-social.
Like, the nightmare.
But whatever, what doesn't kill you, toughens you, right? Hmm.

Because it's mostly wakeup-breakfast-computer-reading-food-reading-computer-reading-sleep.
But I've got no problem with that, no, that's just like holidays should be, no hurry, nothing, just relaxing and good food and lots of sleep and good music, hm?

I seriously pity everyone who's busy and like that all the time. Gotta remember to relax, and holidays are meant for that. Even if it means a two and a half months period of doing completely nothing.

Just that we got to know our . . . *silence* . . grades? Like the numbers -WHATEVER! I don'rt care if you don't know. Anyway. Finnish was 9, BUT! our teaches said that those who did't return their comicdiaries could simply lift the number with one. SO IT'D BE TEN! And my Pink Floyd comic got 10 as the numberthingy too (well, I'm not surprised, really.)

(...forgive me, I'm not a capslock person, but blah.)

And chemistry was 10, which isn't a surprise but a nice thing anyway.

And my new icon. Yay! Took me like an hour to make, but I'm happy how it turned out. (and for those who didn't know/ guess already, they're my Sun, Ascending and Moon signs, Aries, Scorpio and Pisces.) It's a bit , like, erm, I don't know, psychedelic? Like, *oh god I don't even know the finnish word for it* um... not messy (well that too but It's not the word im looking for) not confusing not strange nor crazy. I can't think of it. Mad loony maniac blah!
